It’s Vegan MoFo III, the Vegan Month of Food
I’m chuffed to be taking part this year – it’s my first, but it’s Vegan MoFo’s third year running. Happy birthday, Vegan MoFo! Today I’m keeping it short and sweet with a delicious sneak peak of some awesome fare that I’ve been lucky enough to test for Jae Steele‘s upcoming vegan tome: Ripe From Around Here.
You’re looking at the best muffin I’ve ever tasted. The best. Sweet Potato Date Muffins. These are the kind of muffins you could eat anytime – perfect for breakfast, brunch, a snack, or a tasty treat. They’ve got body. No refined sugar. All good things. Okay here’s the deal – I have been sworn to secrecy with these golden recipes. I feel your impatient pain however and so I will direct you to Jae’s blog, Domestic Affair, where she has a similar recipe posted, here.
I’ll be sharing much more from Jae’s new book in the coming days, so stay tuned.
You can expect a post a day for the month of October, as well as a flurry of such posts from all over the web – so take a look around to see what’s out there!

Sweet potato date muffins? That does indeed sound like the best muffin ever! Yum!
Have fun with the recipe testing! I’m doing some for Celine these days, and I’m really enjoying it!
oh ah. they do look good. i’m betting they have spelt, huh?

Those muffins are GORGEOUS! I love the flavor combination, so creative and unique.
I’ve seen sweet potato muffins on several blogs now, but yours are the most beautiful ones!
You are very sweet, thank you ♥

I know it’s a big tease – as a recipe tester I am spoiled (and sworn to secrecy!). I can say this in confidence (having made many, many recipes from Jae’s upcoming book, Ripe From Around Here)…you will love Jae’s book!!..EDIT: I just realized that Jae has a similar recipe posted on her blog – I’ve added that info to my post – you can find it here: http://domesticaffair.blogspot.com/2008/11/late-autumn-road-trip-food.html
These look so yummy! I can’t wait until that book is released now!
I posted a link to this on my blog in a vegan mofo roundup. I also used your beautiful image, but gave you full credit and linked back twice. Let me know if that is not ok and i’ll promptly remove it!
Thanks!
Mandi
